Charlene Denning has been with the City of Bismarck since December 2022 as an Accounting Tech.
In her role at the Airport, Charlene supports day-to-day operations by greeting customers at the front desk, answering phones, and assisting passengers. She also completes badging duties, enters commission request memos, manages accounts payable, enters purchase orders, and organizes credit card receipts.
Coworkers describe Charlene as someone who goes above and beyond. She is always the first to volunteer for extra duties or swap shifts when needed. Her flexibility and willingness to help make her a valuable member of the team.
Charlene also makes a difference in the workplace environment. She is cheerful and positive with both customers and staff, lifting the team's spirits with her upbeat attitude and stories about her chickens.
"Charlene works independently and gets things done. She offers to jump in wherever she can and help out with work in the office. She has a pleasant demeanor and very good phone etiquette. Charlene works to resolve issues that come in from the flying public and is very helpful," said Greg Haug, Airport Director.
