Explore key data on EU children with new infographic
Did you know that there were 47.6 million households with dependent children across the EU in 2024, and that 6.1 million of them were single-parent households? Or that in EU primary schools, there was an average of 13 pupils per teacher in 2023? And did you know that, in 2024, 3% of children who needed medical care were unable to receive it?
Eurostat has prepared a colourful infographic presenting key data on children in the EU, including childcare arrangements, education, health, social inclusion and more.
