Austin, Texas has entered into a contract to have Synagro manage biosolids composting for the next ten years

BALTIMORE, Maryland, November 27, 2018 - Synagro, the preeminent provider of biosolids and residuals solutions services in North America, has been awarded an up-to-10-year contract for biosolids composting by the city of Austin, Texas, effective November 1, 2018.

"Synagro has managed Austin's biosolids responsibly since 2008, so we are very pleased to have been selected for this new project," said Andrew Bosinger, vice president, strategic accounts, Synagro. "This contract will enable the City to move to a 100-percent composting solution with Synagro responsible for production of the iconic Dillo Dirt* compost historically produced by the city."

In addition to Dillo Dirt compost, Synagro will produce and market All Gro™ compost, its own brand of high-quality finished compost and will invest in expanding the market for compost in the Austin area. The city of Austin will save at least $1.0 million per year by entering this public-private partnership with Synagro.

"Synagro is proud of its performance record with Austin," said Pam Racey, vice president of project development, Synagro. "We look forward to continuing to work with and for the city as together we strive for a cleaner, greener world."
