Daines, Sheehy Celebrate MSU’s Thrilling FCS National Championship Win

U.S. SENATE - U.S. Senators Steve Daines and Tim Sheehy celebrated the 2025 Montana State Bobcats Football team's Division I FCS Championship win with a resolution commemorating the Bobcats' successful season.
"It was incredible to see the Montana State University Bobcats in Nashville, Tennessee, defeat Illinois State University in an epic overtime victory at the FCS National Championship game. The last time the Cats won the National Championship was in 1984 - the year I graduated from MSU. This amazing win goes to show what can be achieved with preparation and perseverance. From now on, this historic win will be officially commemorated in the congressional record. Go Bobcats!"said Daines.
"The National Championship was a game for the history books, and it was epic to see the Bobcats compete on the national stage and secure a one-point overtime victory. It was a massive win for the entire state of Montana. Congratulations to all Montanans, but especially our Montana State Bobcats," said Sheehy.
