Erie Insurance earns four Diversity Impact Awards from Global ERG Network

ERIE, Pa., Sept. 18, 2024 - Erie Insurance (ERIE) has earned recognition for its continued efforts to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. This year, Erie Insurance was honored with four 2024 Diversity Impact Awards™ from the Global ERG Network, the world's largest network of employee resource groups (ERGs), business resource groups (BRGs) and diversity councils dedicated to making measurable progress on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

The organization named Erie Insurance's African American Affinity Network, Pride Alliance Affinity Network, Veterans Affinity Network and Women's Affinity Network Top 25 ERG Diversity Impact Award recipients.

Erie Insurance affinity network leaders will be recognized at the Global ERG Network Conference held Oct. 23-25 in Charlotte, N.C.

"Our Affinity Networks and BRGs are the driving force in building a culture of belonging for all through education, awareness, celebration and service," said Aaysha Noor, ERIE's vice president for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. "This recognition is a testament to their dedication and impact."

Since the award program's beginning in 2020, several of Erie Insurance's affinity networks have received Diversity Impact Awards. Four of them have received repeated recognition.

"As we strive to foster an inclusive and equitable workplace culture each day at ERIE, I'm delighted that our Affinity Network leaders and their ever-growing groups of employees are being honored as DEI champions," said Christine Blashock, ERIE's chief diversity and community development officer. "It's important to us to continue to be part of dedicated learning communities like the Global ERG Network so that we can share our experiences and learn from others across many industries."

The 2024 Diversity Impact Awards leverages a data driven and scientifically validated model called the ERG Strategic Impact Model, which scores key areas that ERGs, BRGs and diversity councils should focus on to drive organizational results. Participants in the Diversity Impact Awards annual process receive benchmarking data to measure their own progress over time.

"This year's award nominations continued to raise the bar. The results outlined in the applications show the power of engaging ERGs in business goals and embedding DEI strategies in business practices," said Cile Johnson, chief business officer for Talent Dimensions. "We're inspired by the breadth and depth of impacts happening across organizations and eager to celebrate with award recipients."
