Hanfa Board meeting: WHITE TECH obtains authorisation to operate under MiCA

At its meeting today, the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa) adopted a decision granting authorisation to the company WHITE TECH from Zagreb to operate as a crypto-asset service provider (CASP), in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on markets in crypto-assets (MiCA) and the Act implementing that Regulation.

Pursuant to the authorisation, WHITE TECH is permitted to provide the following crypto-asset services: exchange of crypto-assets for funds, exchange of crypto-assets for other crypto-assets, transfer of crypto-assets on behalf of clients, and the custody and administration of crypto-assets on behalf of clients.

WHITE TECH will be entered in Hanfa's Register of entities authorised to provide crypto-asset services and will thereby become subject to Hanfa's supervision with regard to the part of its business relating to the provision of crypto-asset services. Previously, WHITE TECH was entered in Hanfa's Register of legal entities providing virtual asset services in accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act.

We would like to remind stakeholders that, pursuant to the Act Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on Markets in Crypto-Assets, existing virtual asset service providers are required to obtain Hanfa's authorisation by 1 July 2026 at the latest in order to continue providing their services after that date.
