City To Host Open House on A&Y Greenway Extension Project

The City of Greensboro's Department of Transportation will host an open house from 4-7 pm on Monday, December 8 at Guilford Park Presbyterian Church, 2100 Fernwood Drive, to share updates and receive feedback on the Atlantic & Yadkin (A&Y) Greenway Extension project.

The open house will provide residents with the latest project details, including project updates and schedule. The A&Y Greenway Extension will add a 12-foot-wide shared-use path between Hill Street and Rollins Road, significantly improving connectivity for people walking and biking. The project also includes several new sidewalk connections to the greenway and a planned redesign of the Battleground Avenue/Benjamin Parkway/West Smith Street intersection to improve safety and traffic flow.

Residents are invited to stop by at any time during the event to review maps, ask questions, and speak directly with the project team.
