IN THE NEWS: Solitary Pulmonary Nodule: Causes, Diagnosis, and Treatment

Amina Pervaiz, M.D., pulmonologist and member of the Thoracic Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at Karmanos, discussed risk factors for developing a solitary pulmonary nodule. Though the majority are not cancerous, these nodules can be detected through imaging and are usually a round lesion of less than three centimeters in diameter.
