SCOHIA PHARMA Announces Presentation of First Research Results for Quadruple-Agonist Obesity Drug Candidate SCO-940/CT-G32 at TIDES Europe 2026

  • SCO-940/CT-G32 preclinical results first presented at a European conference, demonstrating the differentiated quadruple-agonist mechanism.
  • SCO-940/CT-G32 showed greater weight loss and favorable body composition changes, addressing limitations of existing obesity treatments, as well as the potential for once-weekly dosing.
  • Development is on track for an IND submission to the U.S. FDA in February next year and first patient dosing in the second quarter by our strategic partner, Celltrion Inc.

SCOHIA PHARMA, Inc. ("SCOHIA") announced today that the first preclinical study results for its next-generation obesity drug candidate SCO-940/CT-G32 were presented at TIDES Europe[1], a global conference held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from November 3 to 5 (local time).

The study results, generated through the collaboration between SCOHIA and Celltrion Inc. ("Celltrion"), included assessments of the agonistic activity of SCO-940/CT-G32 at each receptor, as well as preclinical pharmacology data on body weight, body composition, and insulin levels in diet-induced obese (DIO) rats.
In DIO rats, SCO-940/CT-G32 achieved numerically greater weight loss at the same molar dose compared with retatrutide, a leading triple agonist currently under development. It also showed favorable body composition changes, with a relatively smaller proportion of lean body mass (LBM) loss during weight reduction. In addition, it improved hyperinsulinemia associated with obesity, demonstrating its potential for future development as a treatment for metabolic diseases.
In a pharmacokinetic (PK) study in non-human primates, SCO-940/CT-G32 showed prolonged systemic exposure, demonstrating the potential for the development of a once-weekly dosing formulation that could improve dosing convenience for patients.

The study results confirmed the potential of SCO-940/CT-G32 as a next-generation obesity treatment with robust weight loss, favorable body composition changes and dosing convenience based on its potent quadruple-agonist mechanism, paving the way for full-scale clinical development. Our partner, Celltrion, aims to submit an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for SCO-940/CT-G32 to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by February 2027 and initiate first patient dosing in the second quarter.

TIDES Europe is a global conference focused on R&D achievements, the latest industry trends and technologies in next-generation therapeutics, including peptides and oligonucleotides. This year's event will feature approximately 100 companies and around 115 global experts as speakers.

■ About SCO-940/CT-G32
SCO-940/CT-G32 is a next-generation quadruple agonist obesity treatment identified through the collaboration with Celltrion, Inc. and designed to target four hormonal pathways: glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), glucagon and amylin. Under the collaboration, initiated in 2024, SCOHIA has led the discovery and preclinical activities of SCO-940/CT-G32, while Celltrion is leading its IND-enabling studies, and will be responsible for overall clinical development, regulatory interactions, manufacturing, and commercialization worldwide.
It has been developed as a first-in-class innovative drug aimed at addressing the limitations of existing obesity treatments, including differences in efficacy among individuals and muscle loss that may occur during weight reduction, while maximizing appetite suppression and weight-loss effects.
