Aspirus St. Luke's Hibbing Clinic has welcomed
Nurse Practitioner Ellen Siekkinen, APRN, DNP.
Siekkinen, who is from Hibbing, earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she gained seven years of experience as a registered nurse in both medical-surgical and labor and delivery settings. Plus, she served as an officer in the Navy at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and at Naval Hospital Camp Pendelton.
"Medicine has been a natural path for me because I am driven by both a desire to be a lifelong learner and a difference maker in others' lives," said Ellen Siekkinen, APRN, DNP. "Medicine and health care are constantly evolving, and it's fulfilling to build meaningful relationships with my patients. I am excited to combine my passion for knowledge with providing care for the people and families in my hometown."
Siekkinen's areas of interest include geriatric care, child development, maternal and postpartum health, and veteran and military family care.
