Today, at the Farnesina and under the auspices of the Directorate-General for Globalisation and Global Affairs, the fourth edition of the Technical Coordination Table on Climate, Energy and Ecological Transition took place. The Table is intended to ensure effective coordination among administrations, institutions, and state-owned enterprises operating internationally in the fields of energy and ecological transition. The event, opened by the Director-General for Globalisation and Global Affairs, featured contributions from the Director-General for European, International and Sustainable Finance Affairs of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, as well as the Director-General for Development Cooperation.
The meeting focused on COP30 in Belém, Brazil (10-21 November), providing participants with an opportunity to discuss, from a systemic perspective, the scenarios and challenges that Italy will face during the Conference, against the backdrop of a complex and evolving international context. Italian Foreign Ministry's coordination efforts on these issues were particularly appreciated by the institutions involved and by sector operators. The event was also attended by the Government's Special Envoy for Climate Change, Prof. Francesco Corvaro, during which the floating pavilion "AquaPraça", designed by architect Carlo Ratti, was presented. The pavilion serves as a flagship of Italy's participation in COP30 and symbolises the historic ties with Brazil.
