School Counseling Program

Classroom Lessons

I teach counseling lessons to all K-8 students on a bi-weekly basis. We are currently using the Random Acts of Kindness curriculum. There are six units of study that we progress through: Respect, Caring, Inclusiveness, Integrity, Responsibility, and Courage.

Small Groups

As needed, small groups are offered at the middle school. Topics have included stress and anxiety, anger management, grief and loss, study skills, and self esteem. Most small groups last from 6-8 weeks.

Individual Counseling

Short-term individual counseling is offered as needed. Parents, teachers, or students may request this. I do quarterly check-ins with all middle school students each year.
