Temporary downtown traffic impacts due to crane work at 100 Avenue and 100 Street on February 26

Crane work is scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 26, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the central business district (downtown).

During this time, 100 Avenue will be reduced to one lane near 100 Street through the work zone, which may affect traffic at the intersection of 100 Avenue and 100 Street. Short delays may occur.

Pedestrian access

Pedestrian access will be limited in the immediate work area, and a short detour will be in place. People may be asked to briefly wait while the crane lift is underway. Access to nearby businesses will be maintained.

Transit impacts

Transit Stops 302/402/802 will be temporarily closed during the work. Signage will be posted at the stop, and riders will be directed to the Towne Centre Mall stop.

Public safety

Clear signage, detour routes and physical barriers will be in place to guide people around the work area.

Businesses in the area will remain open during the work.
