Protect Yourself from Phishing

We want to alert you to phishing emails and suspicious messages that attempt to impersonate the City of Dallas Planning & Development Department to trick you into clicking malicious links or providing sensitive information.

These emails may:

• Ask you to verify your account or payment information.
• Contain urgent language or threats to take immediate action.
• Include links or attachments that may install harmful software.

To protect yourself:

• Use the DallasNow portal. Payments are NOT requested outside of the DallasNow system.
• Do not click on suspicious links or download unknown attachments. Put cursor on links to see the URL.
• Verify the sender's email address. Emails from City of Dallas will normally come from @dallas.gov.
• Never share your passwords or personal details via email.
• To access DallasNow, use the link provided on http://www.dallas.gov/dallasnow or visit directly at https://aca-prod.accela.com/DALLASTX/Default.aspx.
• When in doubt, contact us directly through our official website or customer support line at 214.948.4480.

If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from us, please forward it to your company IT security and delete it immediately.
