Reminder: City of Dallas 2025 Council Inauguration Ceremony

What

The Inauguration Ceremony officially recognizes the Council Members elected to office, as well as acknowledges the contributions of outgoing City Council Members. During the ceremony, incoming Council Members will take their oath of office, and Mayor Eric L. Johnson will say a few words.

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. A reception will follow the conclusion of the ceremony. The event is free and open to the public.

Media availability will be in the East Lobby of the Meyerson during the reception.

The public must register at dal.city/2025CityCouncil_Inauguration

Media attending must RSVP to media@dallas.gov in advance and must check in at the appropriately marked table on the day of the event to receive credentials. Media may arrive as early as 8:30 a.m.

Parking:
Limited parking is available at the Cathedral Parking Garage (Crockett & Flora St, first-come, first-served). Additional options include the Hall Arts Garage (2301 Ross Ave) and nearby street parking.
