Washington - Today, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), released the following statement regarding the Department of Veterans Affairs' announcement of a new Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Junction City, Kansas.
The new facility will include more than 40,000 square feet of clinical space, making it the largest VA outpatient clinic in the Eastern Kansas VA Health Care System service area. The expanded clinic will enhance access to primary care, mental health services, specialty care, telehealth, and other critical healthcare resources for veterans across the region.
"Kansas veterans have earned access to high-quality, timely health care close to home," said Senator Marshall. "The new Junction City VA clinic is a major investment in the veterans who have served our nation and will help meet the growing health care needs of veterans throughout Kansas. As home to Fort Riley and a strong military community, Junction City is a natural location for this expanded facility, and I am pleased to see this project moving forward."
The new space will replace the current Junction City VA Clinic with a modern facility designed to accommodate growing demand for veteran healthcare services. Plans include expanded primary care, mental health, specialty care, and ancillary services, and other programs that will improve access and the overall patient experience.
Senator Marshall remains committed to ensuring Kansas veterans receive the benefits, services, and healthcare they have earned through their service to our nation.
