Briggs Electric serves as a major sponsor of the WNC Foundation's Reach for the Stars Gala on Aug. 8.
For generations, Briggs Electric has helped power communities across the region. This summer, the company is once again helping power opportunity for Western Nevada College students.
Briggs Electric returns as a principal sponsor of the Western Nevada College Foundation's ninth annual Reach for the Stars Gala: Moonlight Masquerade, taking place Saturday, Aug. 8, in the Joe Dini Library on WNC's Carson City campus.
As the WNC Foundation's signature fundraising event, Reach for the Stars brings together community leaders, alumni, business partners and supporters for an evening dedicated to expanding educational access and investing in student success.
For Briggs Electric, the partnership reflects a longstanding commitment to strengthening both education and the future workforce.
"Western Nevada College plays an important role in developing the talent that will help shape the future of our region," said Adam Johnson, Vice President of Operations for Briggs Electric's Nevada and Northern California operations. "Supporting WNC isn't simply about giving back. It's about investing in students who will go on to innovate, build, solve problems and strengthen our communities."
Briggs Electric's support extends well beyond a single event. The company has remained an active partner in initiatives that expand educational opportunity and remove barriers for students pursuing degrees, certificates and career training. Its continued involvement, including support of the WNC Foundation's annual Golf for Education Tournament, reflects a lasting commitment to helping students achieve their goals and enter Nevada's workforce with confidence.
"Briggs Electric continues to demonstrate what meaningful community partnership looks like," said Niki Gladys, Chief Advancement Officer at WNC and Executive Director of the WNC Foundation. "Their leadership and continued investment in our students help create opportunities that transform lives while strengthening the future of our communities."
Founded in 1946, Briggs Electric has helped shape Northern Nevada's growth while earning a reputation for excellence, innovation and community investment.
This year's Moonlight Masquerade invites guests to enjoy an elegant evening of exceptional dining, entertainment, auctions and philanthropy, with proceeds supporting student scholarships and programs that change lives.
Community members interested in attending or supporting the event are encouraged to reserve early, as seating is limited.
