Downtown Concord Parking Study Community Open House

The City of Concord is updating its Downtown Parking Study and invites residents, business owners, and visitors to attend a Community Open House to learn more about the study and share feedback to help guide recommendations. A virtual public input survey will be available after the Community Open House to hear feedback from those who cannot attend the in-person meeting.

The study is part of the City's ongoing mission to enhance the quality of life and provide excellent service by planning for the future and collaborating with the community. One way the City routinely plans for the future needs of the community is through parking management studies.

The last downtown parking studies were conducted in 2016 and again in 2021 as part of the Downtown Master Plan Update. The 2021 Downtown Master Plan parking study examined existing parking supply and utilization and projected the future five-year demand. As the five-year period has expired, it is time for the City to update the study and reexamine current parking supply and demand and opportunities for future improvements, if necessary.

Community feedback is essential for understanding the parking needs in Downtown Concord. The City invites residents, businesses, employees, and visitors to attend the Community Open House and share their experiences with parking in Downtown Concord.

During the Community Open House there will be interactive displays and discussion stations for participants to identify existing challenges, highlight opportunities, and help establish priorities that support the future growth and vitality of Downtown Concord.
