Cassidy Announces $37.4 Million for Jefferson Davis Parish, New Orleans in Hurricane Laura, Ida Relief

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $37,425,524.60 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief. The Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative, Inc. will receive $33,941,078.17 for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Laura. The Ochsner Clinic Foundation will receive $3,484,446.43 for permanent repairs as a result of Hurricane Ida.

"Louisiana remains strong long after Hurricanes Laura and Ida," said Dr. Cassidy. "This funding will aid our communities in recovery and prepare them for the next storm."
