Barton Malow has officially broken ground on the Agriculture Complex at Tennessee State University - the largest HBCU in the state.
The project will provide dedicated teaching and research space for two growing academic science programs: Food and Animal Science and Environmental Science. These new academic buildings are a uniquely designed project that expands research and hands-on learning opportunities for students. Positioned on a campus cross-street, this highly visible buildings will have a welcoming outdoor plaza and create a new elevated campus entry.
The scope will include shared research labs, classrooms, collaboration spaces, and dedicated research facilities. New faculty offices, equipment spaces, and core lab services will support the teaching spaces. Unique programmatic elements include animal growth chambers, cold storage, and plant growth labs with integrated technology.
Construction on the TSU Agriculture Complex is expected to finish in the fall of 2026.
