Work on I-27 bridges project continues

LUBBOCK - Next week, crews are scheduled to pave the I-27 frontage roads at Yucca Lane bridge. The daytime operations will not impact I-27 main lane traffic.

Work will begin at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, on the northbound frontage road driving lane and will block access to Business Park Boulevard and the O'Reilly driveway. The operation is expected to be completed by the end of the day and the lane reopened to traffic.

On Thursday, the paving operations will move to the northbound frontage road passing lane. Again, work will take place during the daytime and will block access to Yucca Lane bridge.

Paving operations will shift to the southbound frontage road on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 19-20) with traffic reduced to one-lane and access to Yucca Lane blocked on Friday and access to the bridge blocked on Saturday.

Work is expected to wrap-up daily and will take place weather permitting.
