Stony Brook University’s 2026 Class of 40 Under Forty Honorees

Stony Brook University has announced the 2026 class of 40 Under Forty alumni honorees, a dynamic group of innovators, changemakers and rising leaders shaping the future of their fields and their communities.

The 40 Under Forty Awards spotlight recent graduates who are redefining what's possible in their professions and beyond. These honorees aren't just succeeding in their careers - they're driving progress. Whether launching startups, advancing healthcare, shaping policy or tackling global challenges, this year's honorees represent the bold, community-minded leadership that sets Seawolves apart.

An event honoring hese extraordinary Seawolves will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Current in New York City.

This year's honorees include:

  • Raza Hassan, PhD '20, chief technology officer and co-founder of IAMBIC, pioneered the company's AI-tailored, precision-fit shoe, the IAMBIC MODEL T, which was recognized as a Time Best Invention of 2023. He remains an active member of the Seawolf community, delivering guest lectures and most recently serving as a panelist at the Office of Research and Innovation's Wolf Den event.
  • Kerisa Harriott, DMD, MS, '12, '17, owner of RenewAll Orthodontics, is known for her commitment to clinical excellence, service and innovation. Her Georgia-based practice delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in an inclusive environment for patients of all ages. Named one of Georgia's Top Docs in 2025, she also mentors dental students and young professionals entering the field.
  • Taylor Burner '13, CEO and founder of Agency 3-2, first made her mark as a member of the Stony Brook women's basketball team before playing professionally in Israel and earning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2013 Maccabiah Games. After her athletic career, she transitioned into marketing, founding her own agency, Agency 3-2, in 2021. The agency works with Fortune 100 brands such as Nike and Foot Locker and represents top sports talent, including ESPN's Andraya Carter and Christine Williamson.
  • Matt Hammer '11, lead meteorologist at News 12 Long Island, studied journalism at Stony Brook and continued exploring his passion for weather, developing expertise in meteorology, broadcast journalism and environmental studies. After building his early career at WLNY-TV 10/55 and then News 12 Westchester, he returned to News 12 Long Island, where he now provides trusted, hyperlocal weather coverage to the community he calls home.
