Ash Wednesday services, Feb. 18

Ash Wednesday, the traditional start of Lent, is Wednesday, Feb. 18. Lent is a season of reflection, repentance and renewal, marked by prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

Campus Ministry will offer multiple opportunities to receive ashes and celebrate Mass:

• 7:30 a.m. - Mass, Chapel of the Holy Family
• Noon - Mass, Weasler Auditorium
• 12:15 p.m. - Mass in Spanish, Chapel of the Holy Family
• 4 p.m. - Ecumenical Service of the Word with Distribution of Ashes, Chapel of the Holy Family
• 6 p.m. - Mass, Chapel of the Holy Family
• 10 p.m. - Mass, St. Joan of Arc Chapel

The Church of the Gesu will hold Mass at 7 a.m., 12:05 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.

All are welcome. Catholics over 14 are asked to abstain from meat, and those 18-59 are called to observe a day of fasting.
