David Weekley Homes Earns Designated Green Path Advanced Builder Certification

The Freeborn model home from David Weekley Homes has received a Designated Green Path Advanced Certification from Housing First Minnesota.

Minneapolis, MN (March 25, 2026): David Weekley Homes, one of the largest privately held national home builders, has been recognized as a 2026 Designated Green Path Advanced Builder by Housing First Minnesota. The recognized model home, The Freeborn in Brayburn Trails East, will be featured in the Spring 2026 Housing First Minnesota Parade of Homes.

To earn this qualification, homes must receive a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index score of 47 or less, along with several other energy-efficiency criteria, with The Freeborn receiving a score of 46. New homes with a lower HERS Index score are more energy efficient, meaning a home with a score of 46 is 54% more energy efficient than a home built in 2006. This means lower heating and cooling costs, increased home comfort and sustainability for years to come.

Visitors can tour The Freeborn model home in Brayburn Trails East - The Park Collection at 11704 Harbor Lane N., Dayton, MN. The home showcases 3,934 square feet across two stories, with four bedrooms, four full baths, one half bath and a three-car garage.

At the parade, taking place from noon-6 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Friday, March 13 through Sunday, April 12, 2026, visitors can enter giveaways at five featured David Weekley model homes and tour available move-in ready homes.
