Access Fremont: Free Public Wi-Fi Launches in Downtown and Beyond

Post Date:10/17/2025 4:25 PM
The City of Fremont is proud to announce the launch of Access Fremont; a new free public Wi-Fi program designed to bridge the digital divide and enhance connectivity across the community. Beginning next Friday, residents, visitors, and small businesses will be able to enjoy free internet access in key areas throughout the city.

With 125 access points strategically installed, Access Fremont covers six major business districts-Downtown, Niles, Irvington, Centerville, Mission San Jose (including the Ohlone College area), and Warm Springs. This initiative supports those who may not otherwise have reliable internet access and strengthens Fremont's commitment to being a digitally inclusive and connected city.

Whether you're a student studying, a small business owner in Centerville, or a visitor exploring the historic Niles district, Access Fremont ensures you can stay connected with ease.

The City invites everyone to take advantage of this new service and celebrate the launch of a more connected Fremont.
