UNF to host public policy discussion “Trade Wars: A Conversation on Tariffs”

The University of North Florida will host a free and open-to-the-public Diverse Perspectives Series event, "Trade Wars: A Conversation on Tariffs." The discussion will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, at the Adam W. Herbert University Center.

Tariffs have been one of the defining public policy issues of the second Trump administration, particularly following the president's April 2 "Liberation Day" announcement of reciprocal tariffs on a wide variety of countries.A panel of UNF experts including Dr. Kyle Romero, assistant professor of history; Dr. Russell Triplett, associate professor of economics; and Dr. Nick Seabrook, professor of political science; will discuss how tariffs and trade policy affect the domestic and global economies, businesses and lives of ordinary Americans.

The public can ask questions and share thoughts during the event.
