Nurhasanah Moved to Tears as PT TIMAH Assistance Helps Ease Her Child's Medical Expenses

KARIMUN -- To help ease the medical expenses of community members, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk once again demonstrated its concern for people in its operational areas by providing medical assistance for Rizki Ajijah (15).

Rizki Ajijah, a resident of Gemuruh Village, West Kundur District, Karimun Regency, suffered a broken leg due to an accident. For more than a month, the ninth-grade junior high school student has only been able to lie in bed at home.

Rizki's mother, Nurhasanah, explained that the accident occurred about two months ago. After the incident, Rizki was taken to a hospital in Tanjung Balai Karimun. However, the hospital recommended that Rizki be referred to Batam for further treatment.

"At first we sought treatment at the hospital in Tanjung Balai, but we were advised to go to Batam. Due to financial limitations, we have not been able to continue the treatment there," said Nurhasanah.

Because of the limited funds for medical treatment, the family eventually chose to try alternative medicine. However, the cost was still quite high because they had to purchase various medicines.

As a single parent, Nurhasanah admitted that she was confused about how to cover the medical expenses, especially since she has not been able to work for nearly two months as she has to take care of her child.

Nurhasanah said she is very grateful for the assistance provided by PT TIMAH because it helps ease the burden of her child's medical expenses.

"Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful and touched by this medical assistance. During this time, we even had to borrow money for treatment because the cost is quite high every time we seek medical care," she said.

She also expressed her gratitude to PT TIMAH for its attention and care toward the community, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.

"Thank you to PT TIMAH for this assistance. May your sustenance continue to be abundant and may you be able to help even more people in need," she prayed. (*)
