The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing bridge work will be performed on I-84 westbound between Exits 50 & 48 in Hartford. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, October 27, 2026. This project ensures the bridge remains in a state of good repair.
This project is being performed by Hartford Bridge Maintenance.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be lane closures of I-84 westbound over Church Street and Spruce Street along with the closure of the High Street on-ramp on the evening of Tuesday, October 27 through the next morning. The scheduled work hours for this project are 9:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic control signage patterns will guide motorists through the work zone and detour.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
