JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A project to upgrade pavement markings on several routes in Columbia is scheduled to get underway this week. Nightly lane closures are scheduled to begin Wednesday night along Route B (Paris Road) between Whitegate Drive and Waco Road. The lane closures are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and all lanes are expected to be open by 6 a.m. each morning. Work along Paris Road is expected to continue into mid-April.
At their January 2026 meeting, the Missouri Department of Transportation awarded a $490,881.74 contract to Road Runner Safety Services, Inc. to upgrade crosswalk markings on the following routes:
The order of work is yet to be determined. By contract, the project is scheduled for completion by Oct. 15, 2026. All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
