Geisinger welcomes eight new primary care providers

DANVILLE, Pa. - Eight new primary care providers will soon begin seeing patients at Geisinger facilities across central Pennsylvania, expanding access to preventive care and chronic disease management from Lewisburg to Orwigsburg.

The following primary care providers will begin seeing patients this fall:

"Primary care physicians are our patient's first line of defense for staying healthy," said Maria Kobylinski, institute chair of Geisinger Primary Care. "Geisinger continues to expand our primary care offerings to make sure our community members can stay on top of routine checkups, manage their ongoing conditions, and live an overall healthier and longer life."

The region also welcomed seven new primary care providers this past spring and summer.
Primary care physicians focus on routine care, like physicals, ongoing care for chronic health conditions like diabetes or asthma, or referrals to nearby specialists.
