DUII roll-over crash on Beltline
At 10:32 p.m. on January 21, Eugene Police officers were called to a single-vehicle, roll-over crash on Beltline westbound, near Delta. A Honda Accord was reported to have been speeding, lost control, and ended up in a field just north of Beltline Hwy., taking out several posts from the guardrail in the process.
Officers found the 47-year-old driver, John David Allen, trapped with his arm pinned under the vehicle. Eugene Springfield Fire extricated Allen, who appeared intoxicated. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and after an investigation, Allen was cited in lieu of custody for DUII and Reckless Driving, and his vehicle was impounded.
