Monmouth County Commissioners highlight the Borough of Brielle Shared Services
Borough has been receiving Board of Taxation services since 2012
FREEHOLD, NJ - The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners is excited to continue its series on shared services success stories by highlighting agreements with the Borough of Brielle.
Since 2012, the Borough of Brielle has been utilizing the MOD IV Property Assessment Computer Services and the iTax Map Agreement in 2021. The MOD IV Agreement provides municipalities with the ability to provide a state-mandated tax assessment software at a reduced price. The iTax Map Agreement provides tax map conversion and maintenance service in compliance with the law by utilizing the most up-to-date GIS parcel layer and tax map data.
"The MOD IV Property Assessment Computer Services and the iTax Map Agreement, administered by the Board of Taxation, demonstrate how strategic county support can reduce local government costs," said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. "By handling software and administrative functions centrally, we create efficiencies and deliver accurate, accessible data to participating municipalities."
"The MODIV and iTaxMap agreements have been great examples of shared service with Monmouth County. They have made a positive contribution to better local assessment practices, which in turn provides a better service to our residents at a reduced cost," said Frank Garruzzo, Mayor of Brielle.
The Borough of Brielle also holds other Shared Services Agreements with Monmouth County, such as the Public Safety Answering Point, Municipal Assistance, Commodity Resale Open Public Records System.
