Replacing old lead service lines.

Heads Up, Ludington! We're "Leadin'" the Way to Cleaner Water!

Just wanted to fill you in (pun totally intended!) - our trusty water service replacement contractor, Gustafson HDD, is back in town for the next couple of weeks digging into an important project: replacing old lead service lines.

️ The City of Ludington is required by EGLE to replace any line made of lead - or that was ever connected to lead - at no cost to the homeowner. It's all part of keeping our water fresh, safe, and flowing smoothly!

This week, you'll see crews scattered around town tackling some of the more pressing leaks and urgent repairs. The main area of focus this season? Lewis Street, from Tinkham heading south!

You might notice a few barricades or cones popping up like fall décor - but don't worry, we've already chatted with the contractor to make sure everything stays safe and traffic keeps moving.

Got questions or see something that needs attention? Give us a shout - we're all ears (and pipes)!

Thanks for your patience as we keep Ludington's water system in tip-top shape. Together, we're making sure our city keeps flowing strong!
