Members of Rogers State University's competitive robotics team - the RoboClaws - will travel to Northern Kentucky University this weekend to compete in the NUKEtown 2025 VEX University Robotics Competition Qualifier.
Scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 26, at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, VEX U Robotics is a college-level robotics competition where students design, build and program robots to compete.
For this competition, the RoboClaws have made significant improvements to their two robots, incorporating newly engineered and 3D-printed components, since their last competition at the University of Kansas, where they advanced to the semi-finals.
The RoboClaws will be competing against teams from 16 universities, including the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, University of Louisville, Northern Kentucky University, Purdue University, Purdue Polytechnic, University of Waterloo and the University of Kentucky.
The RoboClaws is comprised of 11 students from RSU's Departments of Technology and Justice Studies, Business, and Biology.
