Boring to take place Oct. 12

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Interstate 44 will narrow to one lane, each direction, for one day next week for utility boring. Working under a permit issued by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), crews from Ervin Cable will bore under I-44 near mile marker 199.

Work is planned 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 12. Both the east and westbound passing lanes will be closed during this time. The bore will begin on the north side of Old Vineyard Road, cross I-44, and end on the south side of Route KK. Drivers should expect delays.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
