Stafford is inviting the community to help shape transportation efforts via surveys on two key transportation studies focused on Garrisonville Road (Route 610) and Warrenton Road (US-17). These studies were identified as priorities in Stafford's first Transportation Master Plan in 2024. Work began on formulating these studies in 2025 per the Master Plan. The initiatives are known as PATH (Program for Affordable Transportation Hotspots) studies conducted by Stafford County, in partnership with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
The studies will examine existing conditions and identify critical intersections or road segments. The results will help develop recommended solutions to enhance roadway safety, improve accessibility and reduce congestion for the community. These recommendations will be used to apply for grant funding through the Virginia SMART SCALE grant program in 2026. Please take the surveys to share your feedback on the biggest areas of concern on Garrisonville Road and Warrenton Road.
