GW Alumnus Presents at Cybersecurity Conference

Saquib Saifee delivered two talks on AI security and cybersecurity careers at the 2026 conference.

Saquib Saifee, M.S.'23, an alumnus of the George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science, delivered two talks at BSides Las Vegas 2026, a community-driven cybersecurity conference held Aug. 3-5 in Las Vegas.

Saifee's technical talk examined how to securely build and use Model Context Protocol servers, which connect AI applications to external tools and data. His second talk shared strategies for students and early-career professionals navigating the competitive cybersecurity job market.

Saifee is a software security engineer at IBM, where his work focuses on security automation, software security and AI security.
