Rainbow Company Youth Theatre New Fall Classes & Auditions
Apply Now For Audition Times For First Shows - Registration For Classes Opens Aug. 1
The city of Las Vegas offers theatre and acting classes for youth and adults, and open auditions for fall Rainbow Company productions, at Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 Brush St.
New classes start this fall! Registration for Theatre & Audition Prep class (Tuesday nights Aug. 11-Jan. 26 for ages 13-18, taught by Erin Coley) and Improv Workshops for adults, is open now; register for remaining classes starting Aug. 1. Fall classes open to ages 10-18 include:

Rainbow Cinema - Students will learn scriptwriting fundamentals for various formats, storyboarding, visual planning techniques, production planning, scheduling, budgeting basics and how to pitch ideas effectively. They will also write and plan original promotional content for Rainbow Company, develop production packages (script, storyboard, schedule and shot list) for approved projects including, but not limited to, original promotional videos (fully scripted and storyboarded), production packaging for student-driven documentaries and/or short films, marketing and social media video concepts/exception.

Rainbow Collective is an inclusive Tuesday evening program taught by David Tovar, where beginners feel supported and advanced students stay challenged through cross-age collaboration and peer mentorship. Each evening features ensemble building, theater history and modern performance fundamentals. A high school-level intensive that rotates every few weeks, Rainbow Collective includes acting, voice and choreography.

Rainbow Construction - A specialized tech-theatre segment focused on set building, stage carpentry and structural design. This course introduces students to the craft and technical aspects of theatrical productions including design, production processes, tech elements and the roles within a theatre company.
A monthly Improv Workshop taught by J.R. Coley is available for adults. This monthly community improv workshop is a welcoming, low-pressure experience designed for all experience levels. Learn the "rules" of comedy improv and put them to the test in fast, short-form games. Bring your sense of adventure and a willingness to say "Yes, and…." Every workshop features new games and new opportunities to build your skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Saturday youth acting classes taught by Liz Tovar are great options for learning the acting craft in a pressure-free environment with students of similar age and skill level. Registration for Saturday classes opens Aug. 1, but you can see the options now here.

Storybook Adventures (ages 4-7) - Step into the pages of your favorite books! Each week, young imaginations will come to life through stories, creative movement, dramatic play, crafts, music and interactive games. From enchanted forests to pirate ships, every class is a new adventure that encourages creativity, confidence and a love of storytelling.

Youth Acting (ages 8-12) - Step into the spotlight! Young performers will explore the fundamentals of acting through theater games, improvisation, character development, voice work and scene study. Students will build confidence, communication skills and creativity while having fun bringing stories and characters to life on stage.

Teen Acting (ages 13-18) - Take center stage and sharpen your performance skills! This dynamic class introduces teens to acting techniques, improvisation, character analysis and scene work. Whether you're new to theater or looking to grow as a performer, you'll gain confidence, collaboration skills and valuable stage experience in a supportive environment.
2026 Rainbow Company Youth Theatre Productions Auditions
Casting for Rainbow Company Youth Theatre shows is open to members of the community ages 10-18. There is no cost to audition. For your audition, prepare a one-minute monologue. Also prepare a one-minute selection from a song, if you are auditioning for the musical.
