Hayward Public Library to host earthquake-preparedness workshop for businesses Sept. 18

The City of Hayward, in partnership with the California Office of the Small Business Advocate's Outsmart Disaster Program, will host the HayWired Earthquake Scenario Toolkit Workshop Thursday, Sept. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the downtown Hayward Public Library.
The free in-person workshop is open to business owners, managers and staff. Participants will engage in a hands-on, discussion-based exercise exploring the potential impacts on business operations of a magnitude 7.0 quake along the Hayward Fault, with a focus on access to data and information.
The workshop will also provide resources and share strategies to help businesses stay ready for other types of disruptions. Registration is required.
