CCBank and Security Home Mortgage Announce $1.6 Million Donation to Utah’s Children First Education Fund.

Pleasant Grove, UT (May 1, 2026) - CCBank and its subsidiary, Security Home Mortgage (SHM), announced today a $1.6 million contribution to the Utah Children's First Education Fund (CFEF). This sizeable gift reinforces the bank's deep commitment to our Utah communities. CFEF ensures local students with disabilities have access to high-quality, tailored educational opportunities. As longstanding community-focused institutions, CCBank and SHM have now directed over $4 million to the CFEF over the past few years.

"Access to education is the foundation of a strong community, said Matt Field, president of CCBank and Board member of the CFEF. "Our continued investment in the Children's First Education Fund reflects our deeply held belief that every young person in Utah deserves the opportunity to excel, regardless of their background or unique challenges. We are incredibly proud to continue standing alongside the CFEF in supporting those members of our community with exceptional needs."

Working in tandem with the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship, championed by the Utah State Legislature in 2019 and updated in 2024 and 2026, the CFEF empowers families by providing scholarships that help cover tuition at specialized schools and learning environments. With over 95,000 Utah special needs students eligible to participate, the fund relies heavily on corporate partnerships to carry out its mission.

"The steadfast generosity of CCBank and Security Home Mortgage has fundamentally supported our mission," said Ronnie Daniel, Executive Director of the CFEF. "A $1.6 million gift provides the ongoing scholarship support our students need and because of this multi-year support, more children will be given the customized resources they need to reach their immense potential."
