MOLINE - The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that work is underway on the intersection of Illinois 5 (John Deere Road) and 16th Street in Moline.
Work will consist of patching the pavement at the intersection and resurfacing portions of it. There will be lane closures throughout the project and the bulk of the work will be done overnight. The project is expected to wrap up by the end of May.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zone areas, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
