City of Santa Ana receives Orange County Business Council Economic Development Award

We're proud to celebrate our City of Santa Ana team for being recognized by the Orange County Business Council during the recent 15th Annual Turning Red Tape into Red Carpet Awards!

Since 2010, the program has honored outstanding local agencies, programs and public-private partnerships that cut through red tape and encourage jobs and economic growth in Orange County.

This year, Santa Ana earned Honorable Mention in the Economic Development category for streamlining our entitlement process. We've accomplished this by leveraging our updated General Plan and Program Environmental Impact Report to cut red tape, reduce CEQA burdens and eliminate redundant reviews.

By collaborating closely with private developers and community stakeholders, we have enabled large, complex projects to move forward in under two years.
