19 August 2025,AdvanSix Resins & Chemicals LLC and Arxada are pleased to announce that they have reached a comprehensive agreement resolving all outstanding patent litigation between the companies. The agreement, achieved through amicable discussions, resolves all pending patent disputes in all jurisdictions.
AdvanSix is the proprietor of EZ-BLOX® Anti-Skinning Agent. The key component of this product is 2-pentanone oxime ("2PO"), the use of which, as an additive in alkyd-based coating compositions, is the subject of EP 3 286 270. EP 270 has been validated in nearly two dozen countries within the European Patent Convention, including the United Kingdom, most of the EU, Switzerland, Norway and Turkey and remains in effect until April 2036. Troy will now source EZ-BLOX 2PO from AdvanSix, and make all downstream sales of 2PO co-branded with EZ-BLOX® and Troymax® Antiskin MP marks.
This resolution reflects both companies' commitment to innovation and continued service to the chemical industry.
"We are pleased to have reached an agreement that not only resolves our differences but also opens the door to a productive commercial relationship," said Paul Sanders, Vice President, Global Business Director at AdvanSix.
Sanjeev Rastogi, Chief Executive Officer at Arxada, added, "This agreement allows us to move forward with confidence and focus on delivering value to our customers through partnership with AdvanSix."
The terms of the agreement are confidential.
