Requested Action

The applicant is requesting a subdivision variance to allow a single external access point to a residential subdivision located in the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction (E.T.J) with a total of 63 proposed lots in Chambers County.

Background

The subject site encompasses Sections 5 and 6 of the Lake Ridge Subdivision with a total of 32 proposed lots. It is located on the east side of State Highway 99 / E. Grand Parkway S. and on the west side of Farm to Market 2354 Road in the City's E.T.J. After learning Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) would not allow an entrance from State Highway 99, the applicant is seeking a variance to allow a single external access point (FM 2354 Road) for this entire residential subdivision with a total of 63 proposed lots in Chambers County.
