Congressman Cleaver Elected Ranking Member of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance

(Washington, D.C.) - This week, U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) was elected to serve as the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance. Congressman Cleaver previously served as Chairman of the Subcommittee in the 117^th Congress and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee in the 118^th Congress.

Congressman Cleaver has served on the House Committee on Financial Services since 2005. The Committee oversees all components of the nation's financial services sectors including housing, insurance, capital markets, financial institutions, monetary policy, national security, illicit finance, international financial institutions, digital assets, financial technology, and artificial intelligence. Cleaver will also serve on the House Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets for the 119th Congress.

Emanuel Cleaver, II is the U.S. Representative for Missouri's Fifth Congressional District, which includes Kansas City, Independence, Lee's Summit, Raytown, Grandview, Sugar Creek, Greenwood, Blue Springs, North Kansas City, Gladstone, and Claycomo. He is a member of the exclusive House Financial Services Committee and Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance.
