CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi City Council has approved a forty-year lease agreement with The Texas Stores to construct and operate a convenience store and fueling station at the Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA).
The Texan Stores, a beloved chain of convenience stores and gas stations known for quality across Texas, will construct its new facility on eight acres of unimproved land located along the gateway entrance to airport property. The site will feature a modern convenience store and extensive fueling canopies for both gasoline and diesel. The company's model is built on offering more than a typical gas stop, emphasizing fresh, made-to-order food, pristine restrooms, and a spacious dining area serving travelers and the local community.
This partnership is projected to bring considerable economic benefits to the region through new jobs and increased revenue for the airport. The Airport Board recommended approval earlier this year, recognizing the value The Texan Stores' reputation for quality and cleanliness brings to CCIA.
The project's construction is anticipated to take approximately eight months once permits are issued.
