Montgomery Parks and Recreation Opens Registration for After School Program Beginning August 11

The City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department has opened registration for its annual After School Program, giving families a low-cost, structured option for children once the school day ends. The program begins August 11 and will run Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Designed for children ages 6 to 12, the program offers a mix of academic support and recreational activities, including homework assistance, sports, arts and crafts, cooking classes and field trips. City officials say the program provides a safe and engaging environment for students during the after-school hours.

The cost for the first semester is $25 for the first child and $15 for each additional child in the same household. Space is limited, and parents are responsible for transportation, as the program does not provide transit services to or from participating centers.
