NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time
The Lakewood Township MUA ("MUA") recently closed on a $7.6 million loan from the New Jersey Water Bank to replace approximately 9,044 water meters serving residential and commercial properties within its service area.
This upgrade will significantly improve the accuracy of water usage measurements, reduce wastewater flow and enhance the system's efficiency and environmental performance.
By modernizing its metering infrastructure, the MUA will strengthen the overall integrity and operational reliability of its water system. The new meters will enable real-time leak detection, allowing for faster response times resulting in long-term cost savings and better service for customers.
