Administration Update: H-1B Visa Fee On Hold

America's Essential Hospitals is closely monitoring the executive orders signed by President Trump since he took office on Jan. 20, 2025, as well as related lawsuits challenging the executive orders and other agency actions. The association will continue to provide monthly lawsuit updates and real-time summaries of executive orders and related agency actions.

Since the association's last update on July 7, the First Circuit Court of Appeals denied the government's request for a stay of a lower court's order vacating the $100,000 application fee for employers filing new H-1B visa petitions. As a result, the H-1B visa fee is no longer in effect while the government's appeal is pending.

Members can access the association's latest review of the lawsuits against the Trump administration's actions and a full summary of executive orders from Jan. 20 through Aug. 19, 2025.
