Before officially kicking off the event, representatives from each college and division will compete in the Eagle Float Frenzy: Race for Gold in the West Center pool at 11 a.m. on April 21. The top three winners will divvy up $2,500 for their respective colleges/divisions.

On April 22, the Division of University Advancement will host a "Donut Sleep on the Eagles" coffee break at tables on Scholars Walk, Thurmond Building and Dalton Hall/Sims Science Building from 7:30-10:30 a.m. to power through the last hours.
Fundraisers have set a goal of inspiring 1,200 donors to give back this year.
There will also be several matching and challenge gifts that will help "unlock" more funds for the university, including:
A generous group of former men's basketball players will unlock up to $7,500 for the program if 75 former Winthrop student-athletes give!
During Power Hour on Wednesday, April 22, from 9-10 a.m., the Winthrop Foundation board will unlock nearly $15,000 to support Winthrop students if 100 donors give during that hour!
These are only a few examples of how donors can maximize their giving… learn about all of the active challenges and matches here!
As in past years, donors will be able to give to designated areas that mean the most to them. That includes student scholarships, athletic programs, academic colleges and departments, and other programs like undergraduate research. Just type in the name of the fund you'd like to support in the designation box to explore all of the causes and areas available for support.
Make a gift during Bleed Garnet Give Gold to support Winthrop!
